How To Make Your Trip To Jerusalem More Kid-Friendly

Jerusalem is a feast for the senses of anyone who visits it due to its intense vibrancy, and a world center of religion and culture that makes your spirits fly. Jerusalem is also a great destination when traveling with children. The people of Jerusalem love kids. Moreover, kids love to stay in the fabulous hotels in Jerusalem, and if your family is up for some adventure, the city has lots to offer for you and your children. When you travel in Jerusalem, it is essential to be open-minded and flexible with how you stay. This will help you soak up some incredible and possibly life-changing experiences and share them with your children. However, sometimes the trip may get boring for children, and if you want them to enjoy traveling in the future, it is essential that you make your trip a little more kid-friendly. Here are some great tips to help you achieve that.

Young children will be fascinated by wandering the beautifully walled Old City of Jerusalem. With its winding alleyways, market stalls, ancient stones, and bustling atmosphere it is bound to spark up some wonder and amazement. Travel stops at places that are usually at the top of most adults’ lists, such as Temple Mount, the Western Wall, Dome of the Rock, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher will astound older children. They will be spellbound by the atmosphere and beauty of this place. Being in proximity to the Holy City is an excellent opportunity to discuss complex subjects like world religions and make your children experience it live.

Younger children, on the other hand, can probably handle shorter stops at these places. When you’re done visiting more heavy-hitting sights, try out a few action-packed sites, such as the underground tunnels burrowed below the ancient city. These are perfect to help you cool down while traveling on a hot day. The Zedekiah’s Cave is a vast 2000-year-old humanmade cavern under the Damascus Gate. It is an unforgettable exploration with its ancientness.

On the other hand, Hezekiah’s Tunnel at the City of David is filled with knee-high water. Hence passages have to be navigated with a flashlight, and it makes kids feel like Indiana Jones. The Western Wall Tunnels run underneath the Western Wall and need to be booked and explored with a guide. This tunnel system is an excellent choice for older kids, but toddlers might get antsy. Post traveling, the comfortable hotels in Jerusalem can help you relax.
